Privacy Policy

Personal information means any information that relates to a person, which either directly or indirectly, in combination with other information available or likely to be available with the bank is capable of identifying a person such as

- Name, E-mail ID, Contact Number

- Financial information like your transactions, account numbers, credit or debit card numbers

- National identification numbers

- Biometric information

- Any payment instrument details

Provided that, any information that is freely available or accessible in public domain or furnished outside shall not be considered as sensitive personal data or information for the purposes of this policy

This policy implies to personal information and sensitive personal data or information collected by the bank directly from the customer or through the banks online portals or mobile applications.

The Bank collects and uses the personal information from its customers. This information is collected and used only for the specific business purposes or other related purposes designated by the bank or a lawful purpose to comply with UAE laws and regulations. The bank shall not divulge any personal information collected from the customer for any cross selling or any other purposes without specifically informing the users at the time of collection or without the consent of customers themselves.

The authenticity of the personal information provided by the customer shall not be the responsibility of the Bank.

Invest Bank may process your Personal Information as an individual client or a representative of a corporate client for the following purposes:

• Invest Bank logs IP addresses, browser types, location of access, and number of online visits etc. with the aim of improving our website and its content. We use this information to view statistics, to analyze trends, and better understand the usage of site or mobile application and for system administration purposes.

• Providing products and services (including electronic banking services), including effecting payments, transactions and completing instructions or requests.

• Sending you information about our products and services for marketing purposes and promotions.

• Establishing and managing banking relationships and accounts.

• Preventing, detecting, investigating and prosecuting crimes (including but not limited to money laundering, terrorism, fraud and other financial crimes) in any jurisdiction, identity verification, government sanctions screening and due diligence checks.

• Complying with applicable local or foreign law, regulation, policy, voluntary codes, directive, judgement or court order, as well as any contractual obligation pursuant to agreements between any member of the Invest Bank and any authority, regulator or enforcement agency or body or any request coming from said entities.

Sharing Information as Legally Required or Permitted

We may share customer information in response to a lawful request issued by -

• a court

• a government agency

• a regulatory authority

• or as permitted by law

We may also share your information in response to a request made by a merchant or business necessary to effect, administer or enforce a transaction that you had requested or authorized in connection with the servicing or processing of a financial product or service, or to maintain or service your account with us.

We may need to share information with our service providers, including data processing companies, cheque, ATM, and other payment processing companies, payment networks, loan service providers, insurance companies, collection agencies, credit reporting agencies and financial service providers with whom we have joint agreements. We require all third parties to respect the security of your personal data and to treat it in accordance with the law and use them for specified purposes only.

Our privacy policy does not apply to third-party websites where Invest Bank online advertisements are displayed or to linked third-party websites which Invest Bank do not operate or control. 　

The security of personal information is a priority for Invest Bank and protected by maintaining physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that meet applicable laws in UAE. The bank shall take reasonable steps and measures to ensure the security of the customer’s personal information from misuse and loss, un-authorized access, modification or disclosure. The bank maintains its security systems to ensure that the personal information of the customer is appropriately protected and follows the standard encryption norms followed for the transmission of information. The bank ensures that its employees and associates respect the confidentiality of any personal information held by the Bank. In addition, we limit access to your personal data to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need to know.

We have put in place procedures to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator of a breach where we are legally required to do so.

Invest Bank will never requests its customers to disclose the account number, credit/debit card numbers, user ID, personal identification number (PIN) or any such information through emails. Any email or written communication received by the customer, which appears to have been sent by Invest Bank seeking customers personal and sensitive information should not be answered and immediately reported to Invest Bank.

Your personal data processed by Invest bank are kept in a form which permits your identification for no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which the personal data are processed in line with legal, regulatory or statutory obligations.

At the expiry of such periods, your personal data will be deleted or archived to comply with legal/regulatory retention obligations or in accordance with applicable statutory limitation periods.

To the extent permitted by law, Invest Bank may record and monitor your communications with us to ensure compliance with our legal and regulatory obligations and our internal policies. This may include the recording of telephone conversations.

Invest Bank operates channels, pages and accounts on some social media sites to inform, assist and engage with customers. Invest bank monitors and records comments and posts made on these channels in order to improve its products and services.

Please note that you must not communicate to Invest Bank through such social media sites with the following information:

1 Confidential Personal data, including any information regarding your financial situation, bank account details, transactions, etc.

2 sensitive personal data including (i) any information revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, or trade union membership, and the processing of genetic data, biometric data for the purpose of uniquely identifying a natural person, data concerning health or data concerning a natural person's and (ii) other sensitive personal data such as criminal convictions and offences and national identification number ;

3 Excessive, inappropriate, offensive or insulting information towards individuals.

Invest Bank is not responsible for any information posted on those sites other than the information posted by its employees on its behalf.

Invest Bank reserves the right to amend, alter or modify its privacy policy any time. Customers are advised to visit Invest Bank website continually in order to monitor changes in the policy, as the policy will be binding upon them in relation to their use of Invest Bank services
